How will I get my grade?
Grades for both social studies and language
arts are figured out the same way. Basically everything we do this year, whether it's homework, classwork, reading,
a test or quiz, a writing assignment or activity, will be worth a certain number of points. At the end of the marking
period I will add up all the points you earned and divide that number by the total number of points you could have earned
if you received an A+ on every single assignment. Once that number is divided it will give me a percentage which then
allow me to figure out your grade.
Behavior, being prepared for class with all materials
you will need and participation in class activities and discussions will be given a number grade and be added to your total
- in the past these 3 things have made a huge difference in bringing students grades way up or way down so... be prepared
for class, be well behaved during class and participate in class discussions!
